Adhesive label stickers have the advantages of no need to brush glue, no need to paste, no need to dip in water, no pollution, and save labeling time. They have a wide range of applications and are convenient and fast. Adhesive tape is a type of material, also known as self-adhesive label material. It is a composite material made of paper, film, or other special materials, with adhesive coated on the back and silicon coated protective paper as the base paper. And after printing, die-cutting and other processing, it becomes a finished label.
Small stickers are often an important reflection of a company’s image and brand, playing a crucial role in showcasing product quality and arousing consumer desire to purchase.

Adhesive labels can be roughly divided into two types: paper adhesive labels and film adhesive labels.

1. Paper adhesive labels are mainly used for liquid detergent products and popular personal care products; Thin film materials are mainly used in mid to high end daily chemical products. At present, popular personal care products and household liquid cleaning products account for a large proportion in the market, so corresponding paper materials are used more.

2. Thin film adhesive labels are commonly made of PE, PP, PVC, and other synthetic materials. The main types of thin film materials are white, matte, and transparent. Due to the poor printability of thin film materials, corona treatment or surface coating is generally used to enhance their printability. In order to avoid deformation or tearing of some film materials during printing and labeling processes, some materials are also subjected to directional processing, such as uniaxial or biaxial stretching. For example, BOPP materials that have undergone biaxial stretching are widely used.

Electronic appliance labels used in the electronic appliance industry: Various types of appliances are labeled with numerous durable adhesive labels, which have a large unit area and a large quantity. In addition, adhesive labels are widely used as explanatory labels for industrial products (such as computers).

Logistics labels in the logistics industry: There is an increasing demand for variable information printed labels in modern logistics, such as storage and transportation labels, luggage labels, supermarket labels, etc.

Pharmaceutical labeling in the pharmaceutical industry: Adhesive labels are increasingly being used for drug packaging. With the over-the-counter sale of drugs, drug manufacturers and consumers are paying more attention to drug packaging, which will largely encourage drug manufacturers to accelerate the transition from traditional labels to self-adhesive labels.

How to choose self-adhesive labels and stickers

1、For cylindrical bottles, especially those with a diameter less than 30MM, careful selection of materials is necessary.

2、If the label size is too large or too small, attention should be paid to conducting actual tests.

3、If the object being pasted is an irregular surface or even a spherical surface, there are specific considerations for the type, thickness, and adhesive of the label material.

4、Some rough surfaces such as corrugated cardboard boxes can affect labeling, and the gloss on the surface of corrugated cardboard boxes can also have an impact.

5、Automatic labeling machine labels, and labeling tests can be conducted if necessary.

6、Even if the label is labeled at room temperature, attention should be paid to whether it has experienced high temperatures during export transportation and use.

7、The characteristics of adhesives can be affected by environments with high water or oil content, and attention should be paid to the environment and temperature for label labeling.

8、Sometimes plasticizers may seep out from the surface of soft PVC, so special attention should be paid to selecting the appropriate adhesive.
